Life Values

Life Values is a collection of thoughts and reflections inspired by important events in my life. It was first posted on my website in 2011. The facts and values in my life have remained the same, but my writing has evolved since then. I will update the web pages in the near future. Here is a summary:

Happiness
We like January just the way it is, with snow, ice, and wind chill, the month that marks the beginning of a new year and the starting point of happiness.
Happy New Year!

Love and Kindness
February, with Valentine's Day and Family Day, with its love stories, precious memories and good thoughts for the future, is an opportunity to show our love and promise to be kind to each other throughout the year.

Prayers and Peace
In the northern hemisphere, spring comes in March. Its arrival finds us praying for our family, our home, our country, for a good harvest and for peace.

Courage
We all need the courage to overcome the fear of the unknown, to allow curiosity to guide us, to explore interesting paths that lead to amazing discoveries, and at the same time to continue to be convinced that being a good person is the key ingredient in achieving happiness.

Marriage and Family
Marriage begins with the belief that Happily Ever After exists. For a marriage to last forever, we need to feed it every day with good thoughts and positive emotions. It will grow to be a happy family.

Art
We like to make our everyday life beautiful by surrounding ourselves with artistic emotions: a smile, a flower, pastel colors, a song, a rhapsody, a poem.

Balance
Our love of poetry makes us dreamers, and our interest in mathematics makes us analysts. Finding the balance is very important. We should always remember that life is short, like a dream, but it is made up of an infinite number of precious moments.

Integrity
Integrity comes from the desire to make our body, mind and soul work in harmony, with the goal of becoming a complete person. When we achieve this goal, we have the power to gather our past, present, and future into one entity and become able to look at our lives without being ashamed of ourselves.

Wisdom
Perhaps ideas are not much different from money. It doesn't matter if they can bring us happiness or not. What matters most is life itself. When we realize that life is fragile, unique and precious, we make peace with ourselves and stop questioning what is the driving force of our life, a materialistic or an idealistic point of view.

Forgiveness and Thanksgiving
Autumn is the time of year when forgiveness and thanksgiving show their true value. They encourage us to be more caring, protective and generous, to enjoy peaceful family dinners and to celebrate what the earth has given us. I always look forward to thanksgiving to put on a festive dress and an apron, light candles, say a prayer and become Thanksgiving.

Hope
We all are the result of the experiences we have been through, influenced by the people we have met, and marked by the emotions we have felt. Like everybody else, over the years, I have gained a better understanding of myself. I am happily married, and I still believe that my husband and I are the two halves of a sphere. We will keep looking up, continue improving ourselves, and do our best to build a better life for our family.

Faith and Science
Faith is a matter of the heart and science is a child of our brain. What faith and science have in common is life. Faith tells us that life is a gift that we should love dearly, in a romantic and old-fashioned way. Science says that life is the product of a long evolution, elaborate processes and complex chemical reactions. Faith and science are both important in our lives. Regardless of who we are and where we come from, we all want the same things in life: to live in peace, to be healthy, to have a roof over our heads, to be able to feed our children and see them grow up, to preserve our traditions and beliefs , to work in harmony with each other.
